Hardwoods: About the Sustainable Hardwoods Network Sustainable Hardwoods Business Directory
|
Welcome to the Sustainable Hardwoods Network Northern California's native coastal hardwoods such as tanoak, black oak, and madrone produce high quality hardwood lumber. The Sustainable Hardwoods Network consists of locally-owned wood products manufacturers, contractors, retailers, and non-profit organizations sharing a commitment to ecologically sustainable forest practices that support the long-term social and economic well-being of our north coast communities. Our wood comes from local land managers, keeping our money local and helping to support our local economy. Local ownership and value-added products ensure maximum jobs and community benefits from sustainably harvested resources. Our goal is to pass on a stable, growing and productive tradition of restoration, sustainable forest management and high-quality wood products manufacturing to our children and grandchildren.
